Linklok provides secure delivery of digital products after a transaction with Mals-e. After payment has been made by the client the remote call system calls Linklok which sends an email containing secure download links to any digital products ordered. Before sending the email Linklok verifies that it has been called by Mals-e and that the required price has been paid for each product. The links sent do not show the location of the download file on the server and can be set to expire after any period of time. The links can also be locked to the IP address of the client if required. MD5 hashing is used to ensure that the links cannot be tampered with. Many advanced features are included such as the ability to delay delivery for higher risk orders such as those paid by check or using free type email addresses. In this case an email is sent to the client informing them of the delay and the merchant is sent an email with the order details and a link that can be used to complete the order when ready. The emails are template based (text or html format) and can even be product specific. Linklok also has options for product specific template segments, generation of serial numbers or unlock codes, support for Software Passport keys and many other features. Linklok also supports physical/tangible products as well.
